Call Recording Notice
Every call the service places is recorded, and every call says so at the start.
01
The rule we follow
Calls placed by the Farwatch AI agent on a client's behalf are recorded and transcribed. Around a dozen US states require every party on a call to consent to recording. Rather than track which state a number is in, the agent discloses recording at the start of every call, in every state. A person who does not want to be recorded may say so and the call ends.
02
What the disclosure says
The agent's first words identify the business it is calling for and include a plain statement that the call is recorded for quality. This line is part of the agent's script for every client and is not optional.
03
An automated caller
The agent is software. Its first words identify the business it is calling for and say that the line is recorded. If a caller asks whether they are speaking with a person or with an automated system, the agent says plainly that it is that business's automated assistant, and carries on helping. It never claims to be a person and never denies being automated. Clients in states that require an automated call to say so in its first words can have that line added to the script before go-live, and we advise it wherever the client's counsel asks for it.
04
What happens to the recording
The recording and a transcript are stored for the client whose customer was called, appear in that client's dashboard, and are used to report results. They are not shared with other clients. Clients may ask for recordings to be deleted.
05
Questions
This notice is a conservative default. Clients with specific obligations (healthcare, finance, other regulated work) should review it with their own counsel before go-live.
